How-it-works

The FAIR portal is dedicated to giving an overview of existing health databases and to make data discoverable and available to the public to increase public health knowledge in Belgium.

By filling in a Request Form, you can ask for access to the databases. For now, this request option is only available for databases originating from this source: "Action point 18 of the Belgian Roadmap eHealth (AP18) / metadata".

After completion of the Request Form, a notification will be sent to the datamanager of the database of interest. The datamanager will review your request and will approve/reject it, or contact you for more information

Please use the following steps:

  1. In the "Action point 18 of the Belgian Roadmap eHealth (AP18) / metadata" source: use the search bar to find the data you're interested in (e.g. the RIZIV/INAMI database "Documents PH").
  1. On the detail page of the dataset, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Request data" button.
  1. A new tab will open and you will be automatically redirected to the Request portal.

  2. Prior to filling in the form, you need to be logged in. Log in with an existing account or create a new account.

  1. Please fill the form as detailed as possible. Once your request is completed and sent, you will receive a confirmation email.

  2. A notification will be sent to the Data Collection manager, who will review your request and will approve or reject it or contact your for more information.

  3. You can follow your requests by logging in on this site, and using the tab 'My requests' on your profile page.
