The SCNIR was established in 1994 to monitor the clinical course, treatment, and disease oucomes in patients with severe chronic neutropenia. Particpation in the registry benefits the patients, their families and the physicians who treat them by providing the most up to date information on the natural history of severe chronic neutropenia and its treatment options.
Until 2011 participation was semestrial, since 2012 data delivery is on yearly basis (but the database is still not adapted by the IT-team. Between 1994 and 2006 participation to the surveillance was not compulsory
Since 2006 each hospital is obliged to transmit MRSA data (at least 1 semester or for the whole year).
